Re: F1 appearances in the pipeline?

I'm flying out for the Historics from NYC so I'm thrilled to hear this news!

#036 is one of my favorite colors on any F1... this is really exciting.

Re: F1 appearances in the pipeline?

A couple of people who I have spoken to said there was no real decent supercar area this year.....no F1 sighting as far as they can recall

Here is an extract from the press release: -
"With an entry that runs to a total of over 700 racing drivers, the Silverstone Classic (25/26/27 July) features many of the most successful drivers in historic racing. The impressive list also includes some very notable names, and the following are among the star drivers in action over the 21-race weekend:
Rowan Atkinson (Ford Falcon in Top Hat Saloons race)"
So we may well see Mr Atkinsons F1, I also know that our very own Mr Bridger was at the event last year and his F1 was parked in the paddock on the Sunday.
I am shooting for an overseas magazine and will be at Silverstone on both Friday and Sunday
I will try and get some shots if there are any F1's knocking about.
Regards
Tim
Paul Knapfield, Tony Smith, David Clark and Rowan Atkinson are all racing at Slverstone this weekend - you'd be damn unlucky not to see at least 1 F1 there.....

Hi there,

Yep, well there is certainly one there.

Actually saw the car from a long way away and knew Mr Atkinson was heading for the exit (his qualifying was done for the day so I guess he was heading home) I ran across a field to the side of the road and got a couple of pics, this is the only decent one.

Am back at Silverstone again tomorrow and will be seeing if I can get some more shots.

Regards

Tim

Re: F1 appearances in the pipeline?

I hadn't noticed Rowans 'indiscrete' aerail until your pic Tim. I can't see it on any other shots of it. Perhaps him and Tony Smith had been talking in the paddock in the past, or perhaps Rowan got fed up being stuck in traffic on the M40 without the aide of traffic reports on the radio.

Re: F1 appearances in the pipeline?

Hi there,

Well another full day at Silverstone but unfortunately no F1's

Mr Bridger was there, but had bought along another of his great collection.

Also saw Rowan Atkinson but could not see his car anywhere. Had a real good look, but it may have been in one of the private campsites.

Regards

Tim

Nicely done with that CGT Mr B - red is not my favorite color, but the unique touches you've added along with those black wheels really set the car off.

That is HOT!

Thanks! I made it about 6 feet long and have it hanging on my wall. If anyone wants to download the vector file, you can download it here. Most copy shops can print on a b&W roll for cheap.

Re: F1 appearances in the pipeline?

Hi there,

OK, looks like there is another F1 appearance lined up for next weekend here in the UK (9th and 10th August).

This event is new for 2008 and is called the "Pageant of Power".

The website can be found here: -

http://www.pageantofpower.com/

According to the entry list this car is scheduled to take part: -

1995 McLaren F1 - Harrods Le Mans winning car

I am attending this event so will be sure to get you guys some pics. I assume this will be the David Clark car ??

Regards

Tim
