Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
How exactly did you "check continuity?" There's a resistance test that you can do on each injector, but I highly doubt that all 4 of them went out at once.

Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
I disconected the negative wire on the battery. Then diconnected the the ECU. Then hooked a voltimeter on continnuity to wire 51, "ecu harness injector wire 1." And hooked the other end up to the 1 injector and got continnuity. But also got continnuity to the other 3 injectors as well. And got the same affect from the other 3 injector wires.
The resistance on the injectors is 2.6 they are fine. |

Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
I know you said you checked power with a noid light, but see if you can pull anything from a test light. Check the harness all the way from the injector back to the ECU and same back to the control relay.
We'll get down to the bottom of this eventually. |

Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
That is basically what I did. I did a continnuity check, from the injector's to the ecu harness. I will go ahead and do the same to the control relay.
What do you mean by uesing a test light. |

Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
Nevermind about the test light. I was sitting in class typing and the teacher walked by so I hadda quickly write something and post it.
Are you sure you did the noid light correctly? This doesn't make any sense. So basically what I'm getting out of this is that there's continuity through the injectors, resistance is fine, but they just aren't opening. Let me think on it for awhile. |

Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
I did it correctly, Before I replaced the head I did the same check on the injectors thinking that was the problem. But of course it wan't the noid light worked. Noid lights are not hard to use.
But I just did a continuty check on the relay. And the out come was, 4-5 got continuty to the negative of injectors. and 10 to the + for a split seccond. With key turned on 10, and 3 got continuity for a split seccond. |

Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
I agree, noid lights are a breeze to use, but you never know these days, so I just had to ask.
So what you're stating is that 10 & 3 only have continuity for a split second, but all the grounds sides for the injectors checked out fine? |

Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
Yes exactly what is going on, seems like a fuse or something is getting tripped. But I can recheck 2 secconds latter, and get the same outcome, over and over again.

Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
If it's only holding power for a split second, then the relay must be bad. Check around and see if you can find a cheap one that you know works to check and see if that's the problem. It should be if its only holding power for a second.

Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
No I checked at the harness with the relay disconnected. And I checked for continuity not for power. I am having a feeling the wires are burnt up somewere, or their is something fried somewere.

Re: Will not start, no signal to injectors
I'm soooo confused right now....
I could see partial continuity on 3 because it's hooked to a fusible link (have you checked that)? But partial continuity on 10 doesn't mak any sense, unless its somehow tied into an ignition switch relay/fuse. |
