Are you talking about the reflections on the garage door? I think they're just sorta mirrored glass.

NOFX, have you done a boost leak test? I would try that first. If it was a vacuum leak, you usually can hear them.

Re: NOFX Rebuild Project (56K Warning)

Yeah I havent done the boost leak test yet. I need to go and get the stuff to make one. Yeah Killa those are just the windows on the garage door. It would be badass if they were LCD though....

Re: NOFX Rebuild Project (56K Warning)

Alright update time.....

So for those who dont know I crankwalked 600 miles after the rebuild. Since then I picked up a 6 bolt short block from a friend here in town for 150 bucks. So today I took the block down to the machine shop and it looks like the cylinders are going to need to be bored .020 over. So I am kind of on a budget as far as pistons go so I cant go forged. So right now what I am looking at would either be the stock 2g pistons .020 oversized or the Topline pistons. The topline are $175 with rings and the the stock 2g pistons are $335 for the set of pistons with rings. I just dont know how well those topline pistons compare to the stock 2g pistons. I know that the 2g's are good for about 400hp. I am really only looking to go up to 350 max. Any info that you guys have I would appreciate greatly as usual.

Re: NOFX Rebuild Project (56K Warning)

I'm sure the topline pistons will work well for you, but I'm not so sure they would also be 400hp worthy...

Re: NOFX Rebuild Project (56K Warning)

Just go with the 2g pistons, I'd trust those more than a Topline kit.

Re: NOFX Rebuild Project (56K Warning) Update

Alright everyone I have finally finished the 6 bolt swap on my car...I was hoping to take pics of everything but unfortunatly my digital camera decided it didnt want to work anymore...The battery is dead but it started up fine with jumper cables so I know that a new battery will fix that. Luckily it started right up. There were just a couple water lines that needed to be tightened up just a bit. Unfortunatly when I went to put it in gear it wouldnt go into gear. I can feel the clutch engage and the slave cylinder is definatly moving the fork over quite a bit. It will go into gear when the car isnt on so I know that its not the tranny. We did blead it but I am beginning to think that it may just need to be bled again. Maybe a clutch adjustment. What do you guys think. I am so confused right now.
