but yeah 315ft-lbs from a v6 isnt bad, the 3.8 is a good engine. very torquey down low... do a few mods to that sucker and youd have a beast.
No, actually i'm thinking of the 93 5.0. It was rated at 215hp, not 225, like the previous years. I believe Ford had changed the way they measure horsepower or something. I've heard that the speed density stangs are quicker then the mass airflow stangs, but the mass airflow stangs are better for supercharging.

I also heard that they were rating the 5.0 a little lower in anticipation of the 4.6, they knew it was going to be a disappointment to begin with and wanted to soften the blow.

Are you giving up racing and going the "muddy" way now or something?

Na, I'm just playing... But that for some reason does'nt sound like too good of a trade... Depending on both the car's conditions... But it's your call, so do what you think is best

Its funny tho.. my bolt on 4.6 couldnt keep up with his 525... from a DIG or a ROLL. (3.08's) But on the top end I'd always catch him..
hell i hope so a 525 is only 150 cubic inches ..and these are luxury vehicles..try an 05 or 06 m5 and throw 500 lbs in the back seat of your v8

Since you're new, I'll go easy.

It's usually frowned upon to bring up a thread that's over 3 months old, such as this one.

It died for a reason... let it rest in piece.
