I think he came to the realization that our converation had nothing to do with his car, and the guy behind the car was really an asshole.

I can't really vote in this poll because of the options.

Think of streetracing like sex... its not an adrenaline rush that motivates us... its a little more deep than that. All the senses are hightened, and the whole experience is enveloping. Romantic, social, dangerous, pleasing, satisfying, challenging, thought-provoking... all rolled into one.

If all I wanted was an adrenaline rush I'd go mess with someone's pit bull... its cheaper and legal.

I street race becuase if I took my car to the track I would get laughed at. Also because of the adrenaline rush associated w/ street racing. You know it is illegal, and it makes it all the better when you can race and not get busted by the police.

I like whom ever compared racing to sex. Except its more like this.

Racing is like sex, when its good its really good. When its bad, its still pretty good.

The cops in our town race themselves. I'm dead serious. The other day I was walking down the sidewalk at 11:00 PMish and there's 2 cops racing down the street. They do it a lot too. Most everybody knows it.
A couple weeks back two of the cops crashed racing. The media and shit agreed not to publicize it but I just happened to be driving by right after it happened. There have been NO wrecks out at our racing strip, on every Friday of the 2 years the strip started getting popular not one wreck from the racers but then a week after the cops start doing it they wreck. hehe, should tell you something...

A few cops sit out at the local loop where everybody races just out of obligation because of pressure to stop it. But their cool about it. They won't go after people racing but being "safe"... (if you will). But if they see some asshole being a dick or doing really stupid stuff, they'll pull him.
One of them also sits in the parking lot of a Taco Bell in his (personal) F-250 (supposedly off-duty) and everybody knows he's a cop but he's real nice to people. If their not sure if stuffs legal or not they can just go right up while he's sitting in his truck and ask him. He originally sat there to tell people not to sit in the lot cuz it's where the imports would go to pop the hoods and show off their shit. Now he just sits there to be helpful.
Most of the cops around here are pretty decent. There's a few dicks tho.

I live in the big college town. It's easier to get away with shit

ooh, yea I've seen the cops down there in those small towns. They will ALWAYS pull you over and ALWAYS give you a ticket in those towns with the population of like 43 because it's their only source of income. They'll be cheap little bitches about it too.
In one town where my dad was driving through the speed limit was 30 and he knows to do everything right in those towns because he's gotten so many tickets like that. So he does exactly 30 and sure enough, a cop pulls him over and he's just shocked because he tried so hard to be perfect. SO the cop gets up there and hes like "is there a problem officer" and the cops like "yo'ur damn right theres a problem! you were going a good 10 miles over the speed limit!" and my dads like "no I wasnt!" He gets this ridiculously huge ticket for it and it turns out theres this little speed limit sign drilled to the side of a building but it's covered with vines and behind a tree and the cop will sit there every day and give people tickets there because it's the only way the town makes any money. What horseshit. I don't even think that's legal, to pull people over for voliating an obstructed sign...

Happened to me. Avoid small towns especially with an out-of-area or state plate.
