Super 7 Engine

As complete as it can be before installation into the frame. I don't know exactly how many pieces are in/on it without going through my notes, but there are hundreds and hundreds... Some of the parts were made two years ago and have been waiting. What a fun project! More to come... - Mark

Re: Blue Super Seven W.I.P.

So after it's finished are you keeping it, selling it or making for a customer/friend ?

Re: Blue Super Seven W.I.P.

This is just for me to enjoy a journey of building, but I'm keeping it. I could never sell it for a fair price to me or a buyer, but if someone offered enough, you know... But how do you put a price on something like this? In August I'll have been working on it for three years. And I doubt it will be done then.
The next one is for someone else, and it won't take this long... - Mark

Re: Blue Super Seven W.I.P.

Hey Mark,

I just found this thread on your Seven. Awesome!! I missed last week's Tamiya meeting, and I wanted to ask you what brand of lathe and mill you have- sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not find it in the previous threads.

You guys should see this stuff in person. Mark brings these parts in little boxes, and you need really good eyes to see it, then you try to figure out how the heck he machined some of the stuff. And, he doesn't shake or twitch from the work!

Hopefully I will see you in June!

Thanks, Matt Wellhouser

There are no words to express what I did when I saw this. That thing is a work of art. Pure brilliant and beautiful.

The engine is just Fantastic. I just wish I could see it in person. I'm sure it's even better.

Re: Blue Super Seven W.I.P.

Ive been trying to visualise this build since day 1 but seeing it all come together has just blown my mind. This model belongs in a museum for all to see, mark you are a master craftsman! You give a new meaning to the word super detailed! Your skills is way beyond anything that ive ever seen.

I can't believe it's only a model. Brings true meaning to the word, REPLICA.

Thanks for the very kind words everyone.
It is a GM Vauxhall engine. Commonly used in Chevette rally cars as well as some Super Sevens... - Mark
