How Do You Avoid Cops?

now i cant tell u how to avoid the cops im 18 and i have been pulled over more times than most older people have. i was pulled over once in a 85 f-150 went over RR tracks went the lights were flashing. got pulled over twice in an 86 nova both of them were for going 10 MPH over speed limit. got a warning for those three. i was pulled over once in a ford despire this was on new years i took who i was dating to the church we were meeting her dad so i pulled in a business which was closed some car pulled up beside me and wrote down something i didnt pay no attention to it i didnt care i thought it was going to be the store number boy was i ever wrong. her dad showed up we got driving i saw him use his turn signal which he never does so i used mie i looked in the mirror and there was this cop. so i kept going i saw when i i turned he turned so i knew something was up we were about 30 sec. away from the church and i got lighted up he said someone has been braking into the store and he didnt know if i had been the one doing it in the past. i was like holy shit i get pulled over for someone else's crime he laughed ran my license and shit and said sorry bout that where are you going. i told him i was going to church and he said sorry and if your late just tell them you were pulled over i have been pulled over three times in my bird. twice i was pulled over and i was not moving in my bird the first two time were for working on it along the interstate. the first time i didnt know it was illegal the second time i knew it was but i didnt care because it was only going to take about 5 min. and wouldnt u know it a cop went by within that 5 min. the last time was here recently i got pulled over for going 70 in a 55. i didnt slow down like most people tell me i should do when i see a cop they tell me that if im going to fast and i see a cop then i should slow down. i see no point for it because if your going to get pulled over it going to happen wheither you slow down or not if he has done and got close enough to you. he asked me why i never hit my brakes and i told him that there was no need to i asked him would you have pulled me over if i would have hit my brakes and he said yes. i was being a smart a$$ when i asked him i was treating him how he should be treated. and that is with RESPECT. he went back to his car and ran my license and insurance and everything else. he started writing something and i thought it was going to be a ticket i was wrong it was a warning saying have a nice day and have fun in the navy i was breathing a sigh of relief.

so one thing i an tell you is to treat the cops with the respect you deserve and they will treat you with respect and stay acting calmn and everything will go good you can never avoid them you may think you out smarted them but i know and so do they know that you didnt they know alkl weither they act like they do or not

The above story about being pulled over so many times made me laugh and think about my dealings with the cops.
One time I was pulled over was for my passenger side headlight not being on. I knew I had a short in the light socket that manifested itself intermittently, so I flipped the lights down and back up again, and the light came on. He just told me to get it fixed.
The second time was more interesting. I came home from work late one night at about 1:30 am. I parked the car where I usually park it and cover it up like usual. At about 2:00 am, my roommate tells me the cops are towing my car. Where I parked was on the side of a fairly steep hill, that follows the street down to the intersection of another busier street. The parking brake gave, and my car rolled down the street and into the intersection. The cops found it in the middle of the street sideways and covered up. They ran my plates and saw that the car wasn't a local address, so they had to tow it. I was mighty pissed, and had to pay 110.00 to get it out of impound. The officer was cool though, he asked me if it was a TTA and said that he used to have a GNX.

Learned my lesson about playing around on the highway last weekend, nice day = top down, 3 lanes of traffic running 80 mph in left lane, as traffic began to decrease the left lane opened up, made sure it didn't end ahead, checked the rear view mirror (only a gold suv, either a tahoe or suburban). Decided to do a 6th gear roll and see how long it took me to get to 100 mph, not long, started slowing down & noticed the suv was still with me, still slowing down but impressed it was there, one more look in the rear view mirror and BAM there's the lights on under the rear view mirror. Moved to the center lane, couldn't get into the right lane, notice he's not behind me, ah he's aside of me, read his lips "SLOW" down (using his thumb), so I gave him a thumbs up to acknowlege "I got the message". He lays on the gas and leaves me in the dust, had emblems on the side of the doors, "state police" on the rear doors. Guess it was my lucky day, and lucky I didn't get above 100 mph (I was thinking about topping out, but decided it was way too dangerous). I can just imagine what he & the cars by us were thinking "you stupid idiot, do a roll like that right infront of a state tropper". Oh well live & learn (and watch out for SUV's even if they aren't the color of all the state cop cars).

Speed limit was 70, so I was only 30 over, lol, haven't put the radar detector into the T/A, but im thinking its time for it to go in, it might have saved me that little embarassing episode! I do think the only thing that saved me was letting out of it right after I hit 100, & him probably having someplace better to be.

That would have been one I would have taken to court, unless he had a camera in the window that read his speed on the display he would have no proof how fast I really went. At that point his word is the only evidence, its tough for even an officer of the law to win a case with only word of mouth.
