Re: 99Eclipse RS VS 90Trans-am

No, I didnt see the car. I know what a blower is, I was just checking to see that it operates like a supercharger, belt driven. Procharger is a brand correct? Or is it its own kind of forced induction.

Well, the Firebird/TA has a 350 with a blower and he got it for free, but its not running. He said he might sell it to me. I am kinda excited, I was thinking about getting it running and selling it for DSM money or just keeping it for some RWD fun. A blower is same as a supercharger right? What about a procharger?
Don't you have enough on your plate with that eclipse?

Sorry this is a little late but I had to say something about this

The only stock third gen that had 260 was the 89 trans-am with the turboed 3.8 v6. It was also very underrated probably pushing over 280hp

It is a little late, and you are preaching to the choir. The turbo TA was under-rated, but it was under-rated at 250hp not 260. Same as the Grandnational from which it stole it's engine. I would imagine that number (if not more) was close to what it has at the wheels.

Edit: There was ONE third gen rated over 250hp, that was the 1992 firehawk 350bhp/ 390lb-ft.

Re: 99Eclipse RS VS 90Trans-am

i know this sounds like crap, but there is a chance you can beat him. slim but there is one, and i wouldnt back down. i beat a light modded 99 trans am in my stock gs-t. based on what you said about the muscle head, he's all about aggresiveness, just like my opponent. whch means that he's going to be so set on raping you, that he's not going to use any type of techique, especially off the line. what kind of race is it? cause if its street all you have to do is block him from the front as soon as you get off the line. and even if you lose he is still going to look like a jerk for even challanging a rs, youll get major props for just sticking close
