well...since you didnt show today, there's prolly a bench warrent for your arrest so you might want to check on that...and then just go to the office and pay it I'd assume. But, if there's a warrent, odds are you'll be cuffed and such

Re: Have you ever been pulled over?

about missing your courst date, just go into the courthouse and tell someone, "I missed my court date by accident and I want to pay my ticket." The bench warrant will take weeks to clear, I guarantee it. They won't cuff you if you go in asking if you can pay your ticket.

OT, I got pulled over for 55 in a 40, 112$
Pulled over for 57 in a 35, warning. This one was a special situation though because I had hawaii plates in Ohio, and I just told him I didnt know the speed limit, or the area. Plus it was down a steep grade hill. Other than that... no. I've always gotten away with real speeding. The 55 was just normal driving on the highway, and just so happened to get tagged. He caught me in a rare occasion where I wasn't flying.

Re: Have you ever been pulled over?

I've been pulled over three times.

First I was in my old jeep grand cherokee driving on this wet grassy area on the side of my school sliding around. I left to get more gas and then came back to do it again. For some reason I just took the road behind the school instead of the grass and the cop pulled me over. He said "We've had a lot of problems with people riding over the grass. But I didn't see you do it... yet". Then he let me go. no ticket or warning

Second time was in my 2000 eclipse coming home from a camping trip at 130 in the morning. Got all the way back into my town after a three hour trip and the cop pulls me over. Asks me how fast I was going and I said maybe 60-65. He laughs and tells me I was going well over seventy (I was probably going around 80). Let's me off with a written warning. I still think it was bullshit he pulled me over at 130 in the morning when I was the only person on the road.

Third time I was in my mom's explorer sliding around in the snow up in my old highschools parking lot. I was up there for like five minutes and then saw a car come up the drive. I instantly knew it was a cop so I stopped sliding and made my way to the exit. Cop pulled me over and gave me a written warning for wreckless driving. LOL the funny thing is that the cop actually called my house at 1 in the morning and when no one answered left a message asking if my mom wanted to come and get me or to let me go with the appropriate paper work.

Re: Have you ever been pulled over?

Okay, where's all the commotion about a newbie not reading the user guidelines and ressurecting a 3 1/2 year old post?

So what, at least he contributed to it. Maybe some of the members that are still around from the original can make an update or new ppl can add their experiences.

Let me start by saying that I was commenting on originally, the lack of posts from others including mods about this thread. In the past there has been a flurry of responses when someone (usually a newbie) brings up an archived post,( some that are even newer than the 3 1/2 yr old one in question.) The member who ressurected this post happens to be a newbie,in fact this was his first post. They obviously didn't read this:http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...ad.php?t=88808
I was just surprised that this flew under the radar for so long without being noticed,( except by Kate and me.)The member could've started a new thread about the subject.

Thats true he could have, however it was not a thread of " WHAT CAR SHOULD I BUY, or WHAT IS THE BEST ENGINE". This must have happened to you or else it wouldn't be such a big deal whether or not he brought up an older thread that he contributed in. BTW don't be coming down on new ppl to the forums just because it says NEWBIE under their name for in fact I am still a NOOB as well as you. This thread isnt a big deal tho, let it ride it's course and let others post their experiences in here.
