Re: What did everyone get for xmas....

No presents for me... (In The Netherlands: no presents with Christmas)

So I bought myself a brandnew Airfix/Gunze HighTech Jaguar XK-E for just 21 euros.

Happy holidays!

Re: What did everyone get for xmas....

For xmas I got a serious paint work mishap from trying to repair a small rub through spot.

After a negative finger reflex causing a huge paint drip on a small area needed for minor paint coverage (a little corner of a front door, using an airbrush) I tried rubbing the drip out with compound which then happened to also rub away the previous painted and polished parts of the paint, causing a wide white primer area to show up underneath for BOTH the front fender and front door. An attempt to try to airbrush color back onto these parts involving masking tape resulted to the tape pulling a decal off the surface not affected by previous paint rubthrough.

As a result, this year I got a present of a virtually scrappable paint job on an otherwise perfect and original car body which will possibly result to an end to this project.

Merry Christmas all!

Re: What did everyone get for xmas....

I got a camouflage outfit that I've been wanting, a new pocket knife, a candleholder, and $35 from the in-laws. I don't need anything else other than time to build the kits I already have!

I got a 1971 MGB GT 1:1 from Sarah. best present ever but i got it a few weeks ago. got an autographed pic of Duece McCallister, Saints runningback. a hand drawn picture of a 74 MGB GT. cash and sears card. and as always, a renewed subscription to Grassroots Motorsports and Classic and Sports Car Magazine (euro). only one model, a Maitso Enzo, but its metal body. not bad but i got so much from family and friends after Katrina i didnt ask for a thing. Happy New Years!
