Re: WIP: Enzo X 2

Oh the inspiron is a 5150...too damn expensive! Especially since she had to replace the mother board not too long ago.

Re: WIP: Enzo X 2

I decided to shoot one of these with the new Model Master Automotive Laquers in Italian Red. The jury is still out on this, there's a lot of orange peel and it was a bit hard to apply (my hands are pretty weak and I'm sensitive to high nozzle pressure on rattlecans) I can't find Tamiya sprays anywhere local. Not sure if I'll use the same paint on the other one...

I have the Enzo too and I still didn't have the guts to build it yet... The red turns out great despite the orange peel. A quick rub with a rubbing compound will make it smooth. Great start and good tips.

Re: WIP: Enzo X 2

Not much to report. Some minor suspension, rear brakes.

Quick how-to: Carbon-metallic brakes

Paint flat black. Allow to get "tacky." Cover with metallic grey (XF-56), allow to get "tacky." Dab with a paper towel. This will give you the textured look of carbon-metallic brakes! Yay.

How to: Heat resistant...stuff

So, it's late, I just did two of these, and I can't think of the name. Sue me. Are they done yet?

1) Rub aluminum foil on model mesh stuff. It came with the kit.

2) Superglue in sections to the "bulkhead."

3) Repeat eleventy billion times.

4) Learn how to take decent pictures. Or sleep.

And on this, day 17 of the Enzo Dual Build Off, I'm through step 8. Of 33.

I still haven't made much of a mess

And I'm very tired.

PS White97ex may want to pay attention to the upper left corner of the last picture...

Re: WIP: Enzo X 2

really good stuff you are doing here

Also, your "side by side" build has put an idea in my head for my next project (assuming of course, that I ever finish my current one!! )
