If I'm not totaly mistaken the NISMO flywheel (6.2kg) is heavier then the one from takakaira (4.8kg)

"Flywheels dont give you HP...what it does is allow the engine to rev up faster. Idea being of less rotational mass. =D But beware...it's hard to find a good lightened flywheel for the 240SX...most of them dont work too well and they are too expensive for the little gains you do get. Also they tend to...at least on 240SX's...to not match up right and eat starters like chew toys. So...beware..best bet it to get your stock flywheel and machine it down and lighten it...that way you save money and it will match up perfectly."

Nissanspdr said that, sorry I don't know how to do quotes on here, how do you LOL....

as he says the stock one would be best but lightened so it matched perfectly...some of them don't and mess things up...... I would think one from NISMO would match up as good as the stock one.

Awh Shit

Damn it now their saying that they misquoted me and they want $850 CND ($535 USD) for it. But thats alot of money for a smashed up car with no engine, no tranny, and missing interior panels!! So I'm going to try and get one at a salvage, or police auction or sumtin like dat.

It's a Chrome Moly Flywheel not chromed as in shinny but the light wieght Metal Alloy that is used to make Bike Frames and the like.

the true sileighty

a sileighty is a 180sx back (240 hatchback) with a s13 front end. just putting the sr20det engine in the 240 just doesnt make it a sileighty because in japan, (where i used to live) most of the cars are either sr20det or ca18det. but im coming back to florida for college and bringing a s13 front end to put on a 240 hatchback. so when i take pictures ill show them to you and then we can work something out.

Re: SilEighty Conversion

dude wtf is your problem, you bring back a thread that was already once brought back after being a year old. Yet now its like 3 years old.

Yet you typed nothing worth a damn to even look at. Why are you even posting then?
