Re: 2002 Camaro SS

how long did you leave it in the brake fluid? I've had it take days for paint to come off

Re: 2002 Camaro SS

Dont know if anyone still cares, but the interior and most of the chasis is done. The front and rear axle/suspension are together, and just sitting under the chasis for the picture, and the interior is complete. The body is giving me hell, the puddy keeps cracking, and I have no idea how im going to move the line. I dont have a dremel D:

Anyways, comments are welcome, actually they are required :-P ( I really like hearing what you guys have to say, please keep it coming.)

Re: 2002 Camaro SS

I ran accross one of these on clearance at Hobby Lobby....apparently Revell has discontinued this version, as it is now out as a Motor City Muscle Version. On the panel line. I examined the box closely, and there is a verticle line for the bumper on these cars.........but it is not in the correct place in the tooling, it is actually under the headlight....if you wanted to recreate this, fill the old seam..then take some masking tape and make the line in the same spot on both sides. Then begin carefully scoring it with the back of your hobby knife....give it 4 or 5 light passes and you should be pretty good......

what kind of putty are you using?

Re: 2002 Camaro SS

Im using the testors puddy that comes in the same squeeze tube as the cement (but in a grey package). The reason it keeps cracking is when I sand it, the nose moves, and boom, cracks. I read somewhere to put superglue on the puddy? Is this correct or no?

Re: 2002 Camaro SS

I don't know about super glue in the putty but, one method of filling gaps is to mix super glue with baking soda. It actually works pretty well. It is a lot harder sand, but it's very very resistant to cracking and doesn't shrink................*Ryan*
