Re: Old Camaro/Mustang...
Yeah, what dampachi said...get one for at least $3,500
Anything less will be in bad shape. Also, whatever you get, do NOT get a convertable model if you want to do anything but go in a strait line, no matter what kind of deal you find. Oh yeah, get one from 1989 or up, it'll have a mass air unit installed from the factory, and that's half the battle. |

Re: Old Camaro/Mustang...
yes 5.0 is referring to the motor, that motor is also often reffered to as a 302. but with 2k you can make a fox haul ass.

So basically he would whoop my ass if I was driving a Z31T? One more thing, he wanted to know if it had any problems racing from a stop? Is it FR or FF? His internet should be back up soon so he will probably be posting soon.

Re: Old Camaro/Mustang...
Hello guys, first post here. Thanks for helping me out Stephen. Anyways, thanks a lot for all of the help guys. Sorry I couldn't post myself but my internets been down. Anyways, would my Fox Body 5.0 Stang whoop his Z31T's bottom?
Thank you.Edit: One more thing, I hear the Mustangs get completely crap gas mileage. Is there any way to make this thing more efficient on gas? I heard it get's like 12 MPG, yuck! |

bullshit. the only $1k foxbody i've seen was a rolling chassis. Good condition foxes start at $2,500. |

Not a heads/cam/intake V8. |

Re: Old Camaro/Mustang...
naw turbo 4 cyls dont necesarily get good mileage either, i thought the evolution would be better on gas than it is.
i've seen foxbody stangs for 1k.

Only 87-93 Fox body that I would touch for 1K are rolling chassis no engine/trans.
The gas mileage is not anything to write home about but certainly not 12mpg. Think more like avg. high teens to 20 if you don't drive like an ass.

Thank you for the replies. What are some good turbo'd four bangers if I do decide to go down that road?
