Holy ancient thread!!! *lol* Ric and I are barely even in contact with one another anymore. It's funny how those things go. I might try to swing some more test drives with some of my other friends, though. It's far too much fun not to!!!

you gotta have ur family go to a dealer for a LONG time and then they will respect you. My dad, his dad , his dad went to the Toyota dealership and my dad grew up around the local Toyota dealer. So today my dad will go there ask to drive somethign to see how it is they throw him the keys and he takes it. I'm not even 16 ( only 197 days left) and they let me a take an Mr2 spyder down the street and back!!!

But me and my dad do that somtimes too... we went to the mercedes dealership last week and wanted to drive an SLK. My dad acted very interested and they gave us the keys and told us not to tell his boss. Then we went to the Nissan dealer and drove the 350Z..awesome car..we could only go so far before the dealer called the cell phone inside the car and told us to bring it back...
Usually in the main-stream car dealerships in NZ let customers take the cars out for a while- usually this is middle-aged/women menthat they allow to do this- however- if you look like you can afford the car they will usually let you have it for about 20 minutes- I also got to go upstairs at Continental Cars Itallian Auto center (CAR-HEAVEN) with Jimmy and his uncle (Remember he is my STEP-brother) back before he got his Ferrari

Car hunting is probabvly my favourite way to spend a weekend- and seeing as my dad is in the market right now- I have a few test rides (As opposed to drives ) to look forward to - We tested a Passat W8 last weekend and we are testing a Pug 6O7 on the 9th of November and on the 11th a ride in an Alfa 166 (I get to miss school as well )

In the 6 years I sold cars (Honda, BMW, & Saturn) I had a few "thrill-drivers" on test-drives. I would usually offer to take back over and REALLY show them the edge of a cars performance envelope, scaring the crap out of them. If I felt they had endangered my life and limb, or taken to much of my time, I'd demand them pull over, then leave them in the middle of nowhere. Then I'd have their car towed from the lot!!
You need to find a better way of pissing your free time away, those people are trying to make a living.

Wow! Holy dredged-up thread Batman!

Tangie writes so,me fabulous stuff, but as a rule,we prefer to let old threads lay down and die...

This thread is over a year old,it's been back from the dead once already. If anyone wants to post on it,they'd better do it quick, because once it hits page 2 for the third time,it's never coming back!
