$1500?! wow, kind of a rip-off imo. my TEIN's were $1100 including a $300 air charge. got it in 5 business days. hehe.
![]() and the best part is that...I'm happy with it. |

Yes but don't forget the shocks on the B+G kit are warrentied for LIFE! If the shocks go bad they replace them.

It's possible I had the wrong ones, but I don't see how. I can 100% assure you that my P10 was equipped with adjustable Tein coilovers. Paid $1150 shipped. Sorry.

hell, if I slapped an H&R coilover kit from an E46 on my P11 it'd handle like SHIT too...
bottomline: Tein DOES NOT make a kit for the P10.

my bad, TEIN warranties it for a year....but they do take returns if it's a defect that's TEINs fault...and u gotta speak Japanese...
anyway, TEIN does not offer suspension for the P10 Primera, so either you got ripped off or puff the magic dragon is your best friend. no one EVER complains about the ride quality on the TEINs. I dotn know about the B&G so give us a review whoever has it. But i think my JIC would kick your ass!!!! hahah

Tein for a P10
I remember seeing in the old Tein catalog the shock and spring kit for a P10. I think it could of been discontinued , and maybe this is where the confusion is being brought up. The tein's seems a little pricey for a system which has a clip on perch and stock style spring, as opposed to a true coilover. So to compare a Tein suspension with the JIC or B&G is like comparing apples and oranges(even though they are in the same price ranges). I guess a track enthusisast would prefer a coilover system such as JIC , B&G , or GC/GAB where one could swap out different spring rates and adjust the shock valving to suite ones driving style and track requirements.
On a side note all this talk of shock/spring combinations makes me wonder about another large component of a refined suspension, Swaybars. Not a lot of discussion has gone on in this forum about this type of modification. I know with my B&G suspension, and aftermarket swaybars my car handles very well on the track and yet civilized on the street. I think if more people ran larger sway bars they could dial their shocks valving down for a more comfortable street ride and yet your G20's would corner just as well... Not to mention how a larger front sway bar helps to combat torque steer......Just some thoughts..... 808Infiniti Last edited by 808Infiniti; 07-06-2001 at 08:09 PM. |

bigger swaybars
If this is of some elp to anyone, NX2000 (aka 100NX) sway bars are bigger, and with minor modifications can be fitted to a Primera (aka G20
) There was a post about the correct procedure on the se-r.net list, you can search the archives for it.P.S. Is it true that the front suspension is the same on P10 and P11? What about the rear?

P10 and P11 suspensions
alex,
from what i've heard the P10 and P11 have the same front. the back is different. the P11 has a rear multilink. i've also heard of a P10 with a 300Z suspension. the guy who told me that said it's an unbelievable ride. |
