hehehe, no its not a completely open intake -- they are "salt and pepper shakers" -- hehehe, where the bolt up, about an inch back there is a screen material I believe... ive seen something like that before... talk about

I'm not sure I quite follow you. It looks like there is no manifold, or filter. You say its just a mesh sqeezed in between bolt on "salt and pepper shakers"? Wouldn't that be load as hell?

There are these things out that are salt and pepper shakers...that are styled to look like ITBs!


But yes..those are Individual Throttle Bodies....very phat....

So how much do those ITB's cost, can you install them yourself, are they legal, and how much does it kill your mpg? They look hella tight, I thought it was a joke. I didn't know they were for real. I bet you gotta upgrade fuel injection, fuel rail, and cooling like mad!

nothing like itb's to freak thr shit outa people and to loose massive low end torque ina non race motor. they are quite expensive (2000+ from toda) and the filter, if you wanna call it that, is housed individually in each throttle body. wannabee weber sidedraft carbs is what i call them.

CivSiGuy told me you could get a turbo for the same price as the ITBs
