Thats an option on the SS cars from slp called center mounted exhaust.

Like Extinct SS and BlkCamaroSS said the Center Mounted Exhaust was one of the SS options (Y2Y) available from SLP for 2002. It uses the same components (muffler and pipes) as SLPs dual/dual exhaust and sounds just like it (which is pretty good if you ask me ). SLP Performance Parts offers a similar "Quad Tip" CME (looks like a vette's exhaust). I don't know if SLP Engineering is selling the 01-02 SS CME to the general public yet. It used to be that you needed an SS VIN to be able to purchase it.
