What kinda full scale project? I got one too, last weekend, and it just might be the end of modeling for me.

Looks nice so far. Solder?

The main reason I took up modeling is because I wasn't allowed to have a "real one." I found this '73 Camaro though, that needs a LOT of TLC, and with that I don't know if I'll have the time, money, or desire to model.

Re: WIP: 1957 vette street rod

well i have made some progress on the frame. i have gotten the back portion of it sorted out and began to "weld" it into place. i need to go through my parts box and see if i have a vette, Trans axle and irs set up. anyone got one?

i've tried to model it as close to the frame i have reference for on a previous pate, as possible.

comments and criticism welcome

Re: WIP: 1957 vette street rod

i picked up the revell z06 corvette for the drive line just alittle bit ago. its going to take some shortening of the drive shaft tube for it to fit right. expect to see some progress tomorrow night!!

Re: WIP: 1957 vette street rod

got started on the motor today. had to shorten the driveshaft tube. it is all aluminized. I've decided not to use torque thrust type wheels. I'm going to use the Z06's. i think they look awesome.
