Re: need help installing a mbc on my 2g t25

Oh shit, you have a DSM at 17? Can't install a MBC? Well, I have 2 turbo DSMs faster than yours. Jake has 4 or 5 including the 420A which is faster than yours. LOL

Re: need help installing a mbc on my 2g t25

aggh shit now im having some problems. The car is idling real high at exactly 1250 rpms. Also, there is a lot of lag which i think may have to do with the high idle. The boost is set fine at 15 though. I installed it exaclty as the picture is shown on the top of Jakes post (the first picture). I put a cap on the turbo compressor, ran one hose going to BOV (bottom nipple on mbc) and one hose going to WGA (side nipple on mbc). Do you think it might have do with the hose or the tee? Please help!!

Re: need help installing a mbc on my 2g t25

not to take it off subject but ,i just got done with my new installs (Dejon tool UICPs , greddy type s BOV) and my car runs the same venting or recirculating , verturally no differance...in the past i read all the posts about how bad venting is with a stock MAF, guess i was under the impression that my car would run terrible when it actually runs quite well...wierd...

Re: need help installing a mbc on my 2g t25

On some cars it will run well in general, but there will be times when you regret. For example, take an on ramp fast using enough maintenance throttle to just stay on the verge of boost. It can get ugly Its these odd times that things go to hell, no matter how well I got my car to run well with all of the contraptions I came up with. And its usually the times when you can least afford an upset car/motor/balance.

Re: need help installing a mbc on my 2g t25

Its a matter of personal taste, tolerance for these odd behaviors, and how the car is used. I ran vented for years, like I said. I just learned to deal with or drive around the issues it had. But I also spent a lot of time and energy coming up with systems that would allow the car to run pretty well. But when I went to the MAFT, it was like a while different car. I had become used to the way it ran, and then when it really ran well, the way it is supposed to, it was a bit of a shock. But its up to you. You can go back to stock any time as long as the BOV has provisions to.
