Oh and my car weighs 2,300lbs
Redneck, for critiquing me so harshly you sure aren't too educated on my car.
My bad on the B16B part, I knew better. Just forgot. Plus, it's 1:24am for me. I really do not feel like looking up the specs for each car. Get over it, I am.

But, I don't see why you have to come on here dogging on his choice of car. Remember, Closed mindedness is a bad thing.

Re: Its official, im a boost junkie

ok well i think my supercharger problems last night were a combination of bad gas and an overheated supercharger cause today it is running just fine.

Also a reason i went with the supercharger is cause since its a GM part, it wont void my GM warranty that i have for another 30,000 miles or so.

my car feels fast, but now im just so tempted to go faster, i mean if a high 14 second car is this fun, what would a 12-13 second car be like?

its a 2.4L supercharged DOHC. And honestly i dont care if your faster than me, someone will always be faster than you. I just enjoy the fact that i got a unique car that turns heads. Also im willing to bet my car rides a ton better than yours and has many more luxury features than yours does.

You have a Cavalier..
My car isn't unique, your car isn't unique, and they won't be for another 20 years or so. RedNeck's car is unique.

That's just a little bit of perfume on shit, it's still a cavalier. Just like my car with a jdm engine swap, it's still just a Civic, nobody cares..

Re: Its official, im a boost junkie

Rico you are saying that he should get no respect because the car came from a cavy? How about the video of a geo metro running 10s or 11s not sure which, is that non respectful? Remember when he pulls up next to someone and they try to race him, he will have a good laugh. As for your car, im not a civic fan, but you have a clean look, and a swapped engine so more then likely you know about cars. That also calls for respect.

Re: Its official, im a boost junkie

Have you ever driven a Z24 cavalier? Or are you just repeating what others have told you and what you think you know about them? Ill admit the baseline cavaliers are crap, i know i used to own one, the Z24 is an entirely different car.

Re: Its official, im a boost junkie

I respect the hell out of him for boosting it rather that spending that money on a body kit, but I'm just giving him a hard time because he has boost and .8 more liters than I do, and it's still slower than my car. In other words, I'm making fun of Chevy.. And his car doesn't run 10's, you're comparing apples and oranges.

Yes I've driven a stock Z24. They're just like any other 4 cylinder daily driver with a tad more throttle response, wow.

Re: Its official, im a boost junkie

whats ur 1/4 mile time? Yeah but how much money total have you spent to make your car that fast? I spent 8,500 on the car and 2700 for the supercharger, so 11,200 is my total. and i can turn up the boost anytime i want for just a few more bucks. What if i was running 7 PSI of boost? or 8? See now that ive already made the initial invenstment, i can make lots more power for much cheaper than you can.

Re: Its official, im a boost junkie

Wow, you know people are desperate to win a horsepower argument when they start asking how much it all cost. It's capable of mid 14's, and go ahead and turn up your boost. Let me know how your pos chevy engine is holding up in a few months Anyways I'm done with this dead-end thread...

1.6 Honda liters > 2.4 boosted Chevy liters

well i see where your coming from but still you can't really say that to other people. esp if they love their car. you should know how that felt when your civic was stock. so i mean why put down other peoples cars? seriously you don't want to make enemies here since all of us are pretty cool with each in this community. however how would you feel if i told you that your civic is a POS and that i think V-tec is not all that? and how my car will destroy your car in everyway possible? doesn't sound very nice now doesn't it?

I remember when he first got the swap. He'd probably not find it so fun if somebody came strolling along and told him it's still only a Civic. And that it's still slow.

Re: Its official, im a boost junkie

This is one of the reasons I was opposed to the co-mingling of the Honda/Acura Street/Track forums with the good 'ol Street Racing forum...I didn't mind it when Ricochet did this to the newbs with an overblown sense of their Honda Civic DX. It was annoying, but the guy deserved it usually, and it was funny. Plus I can choose to ignore it, sitting in the H/A forums.

Now, its just annoying.
