I believe in heaven.

I believe there is a heaven where God exists (could be the whole of the universe, anywhere but our known world/universe...I don't know) This is the place that Jesus went to when he left this earth in view of the Disciples. Wherever that is, I don't know.

I also believe there is a physical heaven (and for that matter, a physical hell) of which both are one and the same. Jesus tells us that the meek shall inherit the earth and that it will be made new. The new earth. I believe this will be that earth made new and hence we are essentially in/on heaven as we speak, type, chat, live.

Also the Bible tells us the wicked (those that don't put faith in Christ, just a biblical term not necessarily bad people) will be burned and the earth will be cleansed by fire. Thus the earth and the wicked will burn here. An everlasting fire (one that burns until there is nothing left to burn)...not one that burns forever and ever...on and on...day in and day out, millenium after millenium...you get the point.

I hope this helps...it may serve only to confuse and if so, I apologize.

Red face Re: where the hell is heaven?

I believe I know where heaven is....
Heaven is driving a Bugatti EB110GT super car...of course it would only be complete with A Sexy Guy in the passenger seat...full open On the Autobahn....214MPH....

The Bugatti EB110GT
A quad-turbo, 3.5 litre, 60 valve, aluminium and titanium V12 sits to the rear of the driver. This incredible engine delivers around 560bhp and 450 lbs/ft of torque to the road via Bugatti's unique four wheel drive system, with 73% to the rear wheels and 27% to the front. With an 8,200 rpm limit, the V12 works its way up to 3,500 rpm before the first of the four IHI turbo chargers gets up to speed. From then up the rev range the remainder of the turbos kick in one by one. This can propel the 1500 kg car to 60mph in a mere 3.4 seconds. Top speed is 214mph which at the time of it's launch made it the fastest production car in the world.

your first sentance sums this question up completely. it comes down to what you believe: for those who believe in a heaven, it can be where ever they want it to be. because for those who don't believe, it is nowhere. it's a paradox that can only exist in the realm of subjectivism. therefore, my belief that there is a heaven, and my beliefs on what it is are correct. and so are yours. and so are those of everyone else.

but the space-time (relativity) thing...
it's as you approach the speed of light, you're moving faster than the physical rest of the universe, but relative to that your biological clock keeps going the same speed. so you are moving faster than the rest of the universe, which is why a 20light-year trip might only take you a day or two, but since you are going so fast (that space actually contracts) your speed and movement borders on the speed of time... and thus the rest of the universe sees that you have been gone for 20 years.

this is probably the only feasable way to do time travel (but only to the future). speed of light for as far as the time you want to go forward, you're gone for a little while on your trip, and when you get back... it's years in the future (yet you've only aged as much as the time you were relative to at the speed of light - a few days)
Believing in alternate dimensions and realities could explain Deja Vu moments.

i use to think that deja vu's were when your eyes see something and your brain doesn't calculate fast enough so you end up sorta seeing it twice

your "God" is an alien race which created us. Jesus was an alien, where do you think he got all his supernatural abilities. Heaven is thier home world or another world they have discovered. The bible is thier way to control us into conforming to the ideas they want us to have. Think about it, its not really that far fetched. If we could bring back dinosaurs like in Jurassic Park just think what a race that has mastered space travel can do......

There could also be other creations... other spaces with living beings in them. It doesnt say that there was, neither did it say that there wasnt. Sorry if this is confusing, its hard to put into words...

Sounds a bit like the Tsimtsum theorem.

Re: where the hell is heaven?

Ill admit im a christian, but lately ive been wondering. What if everything ive been taught is wrong? What if when we all died we came back as the one thing we hated. Like if you were racist against blacks what if you were reincarnated as a black to get a better perspective. Some of you might know about 2012. Some believe it will end and some believe the myan god of enchantment or whatever will take the world and make it one big "happy" world. All the beliefs of the Middle East, Asia, India, Africa to me are a bunch of hopeless beliefs. For now I know heaven is not physical but is beyond us definately. One story a preacher told us in revival was pretty convincing. He said he was in the hospital praying for someone who was sick knowin they were athiest. The person finally drifted off but the doctors brought him back, when he came back he started screaming "dont let me die I wont go back". He kept drifting off and coming back with the same thing happening. Finally he prayed for Jesus and they said he died with peace. He kept drifting into hell but they brought him back. Finally he went to heaven. I trusted the preacher so I dont doubt his story. Another interesting thing is the meaning of an athiest. Now the me meaning says and I quote from www.dictionary.com : One who disbelieves or denies the existence of a God, or supreme intelligent Being. Ok, so an athiest is a person who doesnt believe in god, but doesnt athiest have to believe in god to say hes not there. They know who he is they are just denying it. Take out god from the meaning of the word and what do you have: a person who denys the existence of what? To be an athiest you have to have god to disbelieve hes there. I saw it on a comercial but cant put it into words like he did so that prob sounds crumy.

Re: where the hell is heaven?

I think most religions are not open minded...that's why they are given a name ...."Religions"...they are closed minded...they are structured formats...they have laws to follow...
Too many laws and you have chaos...so religions brings chaos...
I believe in God...I believe in Jesus...
I do not believe in Religion...
For example...if you do not know it's a sin to eat a slug...would you eat a slimmy slug? I know I wouldn't...but if it was in the bible that it was a sin to eat a slug some people knowing it is a sin would be tempted to do it just because it's a sin...because it goes against God...and would do it not because it tastes good...but because it is a sin and it is taboo!
Jesus said he came to do away with the old "Laws" because the laws made people sin...
I think Heaven will be a place without the "laws"...I think there will be no need for them because the people chosen to go there will not have any desire to go the opposite of their human nature and break the laws...that is to say...to harm themselves or others...I don't think Heaven will be a place that is "filled with streets of Gold and gates of Pearls" because those chosen to go there will not care for such things...Heaven will be a place of peace and tranquility...a place of ultimate rest...no worries or cares...
My heaven is...A Giant Starbucks in the Sky!
