Re: Progress: WRX Sports Wagon

I think it needs a coat of semigloss on the seats and flat on the floor... interesting color I can not really judge you as I suck at building car interiors

I am sure it will be fine...

Re: Progress: WRX Sports Wagon

Looks good, the interior needs some flat or semi-gloss clear coat IMO.

Re: Progress: WRX Sports Wagon

Did you sand off the side markers? Are you going to replace them?

I removed mine, but not before I made a simple latex mold intending to make clear replacements, but it didn't work out for mine...

Re: Progress: WRX Sports Wagon

Thanks for the comments guys.. I bought some flat clear paint yesterday and i think it looks more realistic now. Thanks!!!!

and here is a small update pic of the body:

Still working on it but i'm almost there

Jay: yeah as you can probably see from the pic, i'm sanding off the side markers as they look just too fake. and I will try to replace them with something... my C-West RX7 got some spare sidemarkers which i think should be ok.

I've changed my mind. Instead of (pearl) white, i've decided to paint it BLACK !!!

I was thinking of matt black at the beginning but now i think i'll add a clear coat and polish it instead.

The wheels are the Advan RG. This is the only set of male wheels i got at home (apart from the 13" cappucino wheels) .. i've painted it in a custom metallic dark blue colour.. unfortunately they seem to be too big!!!!!!! not only it completely fill the wheel arch, it's too wide and even with the modified suspension it still doesn't fit very well.. also it makes the car sitting so high even thou i've already lowered the suspension.

So i'll probably have to find another set of wheels...

Re: Progress: WRX Sports Wagon

Looks great. Love black. Yet the wheels look fine to me. But then again it does look a bit high.

Re: Progress: WRX Sports Wagon

Guess what? I changed my mind again
i feel the surface wasn't really smooth so i strip the paint and redo the putty again. And this time i choose another colour.. which is:

BLUE
And this is what it looks like now after a few layer of clear coats. Yeah some orange peel but should disappear after polishing.

The colour in the photo is a bit off. The blue should be slightly darker.

And i've decided to use this wheels (some of you may know where are the wheels from) .

These wheels are quite wide so i cut them into two halves and now i can JUST fit them under the guard. They are a bit too big but i can't find any wheels that i like and in smaller size.

That's what i got so far..

Re: Progress: WRX Sports Wagon

Looks very nice. The front bumper is better than from the real car.

Wow, that interior is awesome. I love the Carbon Fiber accents in the interior. Really nice work with the putty on the front bumper also. Can't wait to see it done
