I got a 98 neon R/T as well, about 2 weeks ago, its my first car and i couldn't ask for anything better. i love it, and as for it being made in mexico, what isn't american but made in mexico, its just an american trend to move business to other, cheaper countries.

Me, I love my 2001 Neon. She's not the pretties girl at the dance, nor the fastest. However, it looks a lot better than a lot of cars out there, and can keep up plenty of them too. Plus, I had a 1986 corolla with body damage before this, so a monkey pulling a wagon would have been an upgrade.

I started off in the race scene with much knowlege of hondas and later end up with a neon. didnt like it at first but had no choice but to work with it. 4 years later and alot of money and research I learned to love it. but the fact of the matter is that for the price of the car, and the performance possiblitys it a great car.
