My advice go get a DEI remote start. Make a friend at best buy or whatever. Get them to install it for you properly and program it. Then don't fuck up and leave your car in gear. Not that difficult.
BTW, as far as price. I got a DEI Valet 554R which is full security, remote start, keyless entry with a two way remote for 150 on E-Bay. Friend of mine who does installs for a living put it in for $200. Good luck Ricochet
