What magazine got 20 whp with just an intake??? If they did I need to get myself one of those super intakes. Also what else was done to the motor?

It was either supperstreet or sport compact car can't remember it was a while back. they were doing one of those testings where they did dyno runs with like 10 different intakes. the aem cold air made just under 20 hp at the wheels over the stock one. this was on a completely stock sx type s if i remember correctly.

Gotcha, it was on the rsx no wonder. The k series are choked up on the intake and exhaust and opening them up provides really good gains. On the older b series engines you aren't going to see 20 whp. Maybe 8-10 at the most.

This is totally false information, you're NOT GOING to get 180hp out of a B16A with just a chip and exhaust. You aren't gonna! Do a search for a thread by HONDABOND called "What does what" or something like that, just recently. It had a few dynos in it, and I posted a couple up.. Most of them were making around 140-150hp with I/H/E.. Thats nothing compared to the BS claim of 181.2 (rounded) with just a Mugen chip and an exhuast.

ALSO, how is a B16 going to make 180hp out of a chip and exhaust, just explain it to me.. I'm very open to REAL information, just not when someone is just shooting their mouth with no idea of what they're talking about. Consider this.. The B16B makes 185hp. It has higher compression, better intake manifold, better exhaust, factory header, better cams, better ECU, port and polished head. Do you STILL think you're gonna get 180hp out of a 91 B16A (worst IM and cams of all B16s)?! Just show me and I'll shut up.
AND even a B16B wouldn't dyno anything NEAR 181.2hp (just off the tip of someones head).

If we just accept false information what is even the point of this webboard?!

I'm with Siz. I have an xsi motor. Same exact motor from the sir. XSI 1 million series and the sir is the 5 million series (correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure i'm right). Also xsi comes with eitehr j1 or s1 tranny i think.And NO NO NO NO you are not gonna see 180 hp with exhaust and a chip ecu. MAYBE at the flywheel but you can forget about the whp. NO way no how. Its not gonna happen. Shit if that was true then theres no point of me having my c5 motor (still unfinished). I went 1.8 to be in teh 12s. Its easier to be in the 12s ALL MOTOR then a b16. So if what this guy is sayin is true which is not by the way, then i would just keep my b16a motor and get that ecu chip and exhaust. I mean seriously 180 whp on a rex would bang low 13s all day without anything else done to it. Shit if that was true, i'd just get that wonderful ecu chip ,exhaust and call it a day . Oh just because you got "info" from www.hmotorsonline.com doesn't mean they're right.

n e wayz, i might jus put the b16 in it kuz i wuz with my friend in his galant, and that bitch wax's my kar, but we were on the interstate and a red crex came bside us n we were already doing 80 and we hit it, and the crx stayed in the same gear and jus hung with us till bout 100 and then he down shifted and fuckin dissapeared i swear!!! im talking we were doing 110-120 and he was pulling away like it wuz nuttin......

That could be true, but i kno that my kar will do over 120 in 4th so if i wuz cruzing in 5 i would deff d/s 2 fourth 2 get the higher revs, but thats jus me i guess....
