But in all seriousness, mostly everyone i have talked to thinks that once they swap their 1.6 out for a B18 they think their fast. Or maybe throw on their DC Headers and think their fast. I dunno, around 3:30 all you hear are hondas BUZZZZZZZZZZZZ down by the high school. I've actually seen 1 or 2 cars worth having (IMO) at the HS. (BMW X5, Mustang GT, C-4)

AND B18 swaps do amke most Hondas fast, while B20 blocks plus B16B heads + Forced Induction + a few other various mods makes a Camaro LS1 eater- even a LS1 Camaro with e/h/i- fuck make it most Camaros

I second this. There's a difference between band-waggoners who THINK they're racers with Civics and their $20 mufflers, and people who genuinely like Honda's practicality. Honda's are great cars, they're very efficient, inexpensive, and reliable. However, people like a cheap way to 'soop' them up. It's sad when AMERICAN people are defending Honda/Acura. Almost any sports car has the right to beat a Civic, in my opinion. I would SOOOOOOOOO much rather have a normal BMW or Volkswagen, than any Honda!!

I'd never own a BMW. For German built cars, their quality is lacking, they're overpriced, other owners are snobbish pricks who are too lazy to use their blinkers, and maintenance is a pain in the ass and in the pocket.

Anyway- the Honda + FI set up shouldn't be too much- if you know the right people- take the block out of a CRV, the head off a Civic Type R (Expensive if you live in the US- and most places really) Turbo, Intercooler, BOV, wastegate ($5000) and some internals and misc upgrades (about another $5000) Either way it's rewarding and it's money well spent

hey all you honda-haters driving your luminas around, chop off the mullets and get something with quality. Why would you diss a manufacturer who produces products that, for the price, provide a very high quality product. Your domestics can change head gaskets more more then you change your underwear, and lack quality in every regard.
VW's, wow I want to own a vw cuz why? there styling is far from attractive and parts very expensive, how is that better then Honda? Please, the reason you are getting upset is because your jealous. I agree, ricers piss me off, but there are those of us who take the car seriously and modify in a 'clean' fashion. No neon lights or any bullshit, just performance, reliability and beautiful styling. I challenge anyone here to diss the 2004 S2000. Best roadster on the market at a fraction of the price of other roadsters (BMW's, Porsche, etc). So what do say to that? It will mop the floor with almost any car in its price range/category.
