Well, I have to admit I'm rather inexperienced myself
 , but hey, I'm 17 and still have plenty of time (I hope...). But, my choice from all the...nice pics...I've seen, totally shaved just looks odd, and not even trimmed is just gross.

I told someone that I wasn't going to respond to this thread, but boredom has weakened me. So...I would have to say nicely trimmed.
