I believe this is a bogus claim as well. The original owner "put an SS motor in it" is the prime evidence as an SS and Z28 both have the same motor, just different intake and exaust systems.
This thread should be titled, "How to alienate yourself from a message board!"

BTW - My Camaro is an RS!!! The IROC-Z hood, grill, taillamps, and wheels (not pictured) are all bolt-ons. The IROC look was better! There, my shame is out there!! :finger:

Nothing wrong with the IROC stuff on your car, you're not claiming it's something it's not.

You guys argue like women.

Mr. Man... you must worship thy LS1.
It is a sin to not love thy LS1.
If thy does not pay homage to thy LS1 thou shall be beaten then stoned.

Get a life. Who cares if it's his car or not. It's a pretty sweet camaro, as all camaros are, especially the SS/LS1. If he puts the badges on the car he wants to look like the SS. I've seen a Z28 with the badges like this : Z28/SS, to let people know it started as a Z and had the mods of an SS. It doesn't matter what he does to HIS car.

The Z28/SS is the mark of a full SS. When the SS returned in 1996, chevy and slp didn't have the exact markings for the car figured out yet. Half way through production they changed the badges to SS from Z28/SS. I don't know how many of them came through as a z28/SS. Must be less than 1013 though....(that one is mine and it SS!)
