We have also heard that the Camaro may be built in Canada in GM’s Oshawa assembly plant located up north.


but i'm not saying they are going to be built in canada. just they wont be called F-body's any more.

dont get me wrong i'm not doubting you. i really hope everythign you say is true. i'm a die hard camaro fan.

its the frame and style. if you look at an 84 and 97 you'll notice how the doors are the same and how the setup is the same. if a new camaro comes out with a diff style it wont be an f-body

but weren't 1st and 2nd gens still F-bodies... I see how 3rd and foth gen r similar, hell, interior is almost the same, seats fit for all '82-02

all camarod all gens are f-bodys i was using the 84 and 97 as and example cuz thats what i had.

ok, but so Y wont the 5th generation be considered an F-body? like I said, there is very limited continuity from 1st gen to 4th

There will not be a 5th gen
for there to be a 5th gen then the body would have to remain a F-Body....but it will not GM does not plan on making anymore F-Bodies....EVER

The new Camaro will be a 1st Gen ?-Body

It will be a complete redesign

Thank you, that clears that up for me. So will we ethusiests consider this new "camaro" to realy be one, I mean, you can slap a name on anything. Kinda like what they did to the Monte and the Impala.
