The full set of Polish diacritics is: ąĄ ęĘ óÓ łŁ śŚ ćĆ żĄ źŹ ńŃ + wódka, kiełbasa and Solidarność

Actually, historically speaking a true Polish keyboard (back from the days of good old typewriters) is QWERTZ and not QWERTY. Of course nowadays we are all pretty up to date and have laptops built into our left palm

End of Polish lesson for today

Re: WIP: 2CV “Rock and Roll-Bar”

It's always so much fun to watch you build!

The static grass is terrific- maybe the best application of static grass I've seen. Please speak more of the the majick static grass machine- this is a mystery I've wondered about for many years.

The outdoor scene looks spectacular- but I'm struck by how much cleaner the great outdoors look than JP. There's no dirt/dust/mud anywhere! How can poor JP get dirty?

Two things I might suggest to add:
Pine trees nearly always have a matt of fallen pine needles beneath them. It's also somewhat unusual to see grass grow evenly around their bases (soil ph thing, I think). Maybe some rust colored static grass applied flat (nonstanding) would simulate fallen pine needles?

Also, I thin a touch of color might add a lot to the stream. Not much, but a bit of brownish/green would probably look right for a forest stream. I expect it could be mixed up with clear Tamiya acrylics and lightly airbrushed on- that way you can also vary it by depth.

HERE you go. The one my buddy made for me is awesome. Totally professional job.

Make a puddle of glue, stick a nail in it, load up the Grassinator with flock, hook up the grounding lead to the nail, switch on and shake. Easy

Take your pick:
a) You didn't see what JP had to drive through to get there!
b) This guy is a art student dude! How often do students clean their car!!? It's accumulated dirt from previous excursions looking for idyllic scenes to paint
c) JP is a lazy SOB and would rather just chill out in his hammock... (if he ever gets finished )

Already taken care of that (I hope) with some scatter and crushed dried herbs.

Nah, the water's OK If I play around with it any more, I'll be in danger of spoiling what is already good. What's that saying?... "Better is the enemy of good"

I really appreciate the input though!

Thanks for the "polish for dummys" explanation, that is what I love about your threads, there is some much to learn here

You can't buy stuff like this

I commissioned the figure as an original piece and a friend in Poland saw what was going on and came up with the idea of the p/e hammock which he made for it

Re: WIP: 2CV “Rock and Roll-Bar”

Some fine tuning to the diorama yesterday (the first time I have been able to touch a model in some time )

I re-worked the wires on the hammock and added rings by which it can be hung. The cords now look better IMO although they are not as good as I would have liked.

As Andy suggested, I added some herbs and other gunk to where there would be debris in the area below the trees.

After a walk in the forest with my dog yesterday, I weathered up the tree trunks some more by trying to replicate the moss that I noticed growing on them. I made a mix of white glue, micro balloons and green paint and splurged it around a bit

It may not be very visible in the first photo but Jean Paul now has a pair of Foster Grants resting on his chest LOL
A piece of wire wound around a toothpick and a disc of vintage photo negative fitted with white glue. (Bloody small little sods they are too! I lost 2 pairs already )

I added some driftwood to the shore made with pieces of fan coral.

An “overview”…

I think that the Speedster would look pretty cool in there too! hehe

Nice additions (all those debris, the moss and the glasses), but those drift wood look like they are placed a bit to equidistant.

Re: WIP: 2CV “Rock and Roll-Bar”

I like it - way. Anything else you have in mind. Everytime I open this thread it seems that you came up with another "krass" idea.

Keep it up is all I can say. This is like a book, where you find more and more twists as the pages turn and turn.

Cheers
