back to the original thread, it's a pain in the ass to change the bulbs. I took off the console and the only way to get the heater panel out is to take the radio out and i'm not about to start that
![]() ah well maybe when i install the teg console..

Since I'm off this week (had my CPR course on monday/turesday/wednesday) I decided to try to change the bulbs behind the instrument panel today (one bulb was burnt out)
It's really not that hard to do. First you have to take the console around the radio/heater panel off. Most of you probably know how to do this. If not, there are 4 screws holding it into place. 3 screws are pretty visable (one on the lower left, one on the upper left and one on the lower right) and you'll find the 4th one when you open the glove box. Once you've taken the console part off (or unscrewed it and pushed it down a little) just unscrew the 2 screws holding the car radio/deck in place and lower the deck a little. Next you'll find 3 screws holding the instrument panel onto the dash. Unscrew them and then lightly push the panel inwards and then push it down. There are 2-3 clips holding the "face plate" on it. You should be able to pull on it a little and it should eventually snap off. Make sure you take the knobs off the front of it first. My wires for the light bulbs were very short so there was hardly any room to move the panel around. There are 2 bulbs in it, one on the upper right corner of the panel and one on the lower left side. If you give the little "bulb holders" a twist they should pop right out of the instrument panel. You should be able to just give the light bulbs a little tug and they should come straight out. The bulb itself is really tiny. I went to the local car shop to get replacements and after looking it up in the computer they sold me the wrong size twice. I'm going to try another store or maybe a honda dealership this weekend. |

okay so i went to 3 different canadian tire's and they dont have the bulbs. I ended up having to go to the honda dealership and it was $18 FOR 2 TINY F'IN BULBS. Oh well at least I'll have instrument panel lights now.

yah i went to the wreckers today and i should have just ripped them out of a panel there. ah well.
the guy at the dealership was like "that will be $18" and I just looked at him and was like "$18 for 2 tiny light bulbs....do I get a 50 year warranty with those or something" and he was like "uhmm no there isn't a 50 year warranty sir". That was the first and last time i ever go to a dealership for something
