This is a painful and stressful day for many Americans. I found something today that I found pretty amusing. As a nice distraction (but it will probably only work until midnight tonight in the US). Try loading www.yahoo.com repeatedly and check out the facial expressions of the people who forgot to pay their taxes. Funny!! :silly2:

Two events outside of Canada also occured on the 15th;

1. My sister's B-day
2. The ocean liner Titanic struck an ice berg and sunk several hundred miles off the coast of Newfoundland in 1912, 91 years ago yesterday.

My final tax bill was 1700 which isn't to bad of a final. Overall our tax bill was 35K (give or take a couple hundred) just for the federal and state income taxes. Damn if I'm going to give the goverment more if I do not have to.

My checking account pays 0% so it's just as well if the barstards hold onto the money for me.

They didn't withhold squat this year so I ended up owing $140 extra - and altogether I paid out around $1600 for state and fed.

OH YEAH, I forgot about the Titanic (i.e. the fact that the anniversary of its sinking is today).
