Javelins are pretty awesome, and a unique ride!! Parts....might be a little hard to come by. I run an auto parts store, let me know if you are having a tough time finding something!

cheers, i'm already looking out for a windscreen. i'm going to fabricate repair sections for the bodywork as i'm afraid what new panels will cost new! the worse are the door shuts, they're completly gone! but its generally sound!

it's got a different wheel on each corner so i'm thinking about getting 7x15 supremes. but not sure what size tyres to get. at the moment i'm thinking about 235/60 15's.

have you got any pics of that red camero? (that little pic)

It would totally destroy the look of the '69 to put its nose on a 68 body. the 69 had the lip over both the front and rear wheel wells, while the 67 and 68 had radiused wheelwells, it would be an ugly match. If u want big wheels, u should go with the 67 or 68 cuz of the radiused wheelwells

that yellow one looks great! whats the bhp on that?

i think i'll jus get a '69 and leave it at that, no chopping about, its grown on me. but i'll only get a z28.

meanwhile i'll do the jav, make a bit of money on it then get me a '89 RS camaro. i like these and they're about half the price of a '69 z28! seen a couple of 89 -90 RS's advertised for $4000, which in UK is about £5500.

i saw one '69, mint, lots of things done to it, the guy was asking for $69,000!!!

Not sure if you were talking about my yellow one or not, but it hasn't been on the dyno yet. Our best guess though puts it between 700 and 1000 WHP....

Re: which year is best? 68, 69 or 70?

I personly have a 69 SS so I prefer them over 67 and 68 models. Yellow with black stripes with Z-28 is nice. Yeah 70's are nice but I would go with that 69 Z-28 yellow w/black strips.
