Re: Jaguar XJ220 "Martini" - Tamiya 1/24

This car is truly dear to my heart. I was given a Maisto 1:12 version when I was about 11 or 12, and like you, I thought it was the sexiest thing on the planet. I believe I still have the model (somewhere), but I can probably place a dozen cars in front of it on my wish list.
Needless to say, I'm hooked on your project and can't wait to see what you do to this icon of a car!

Re: Jaguar XJ220 "Martini" - Tamiya 1/24

Interesting subject! Might need some conversion work, but at least not as much as the Le Man versions which I still left on my shelf. I have found that the wheels and tires from the Tamiya Shell F40 fits well for the Le Man version in terms of size and pattern. I believe the tire size will be fine the Martini version too, except of course some work is required for the BBS type pattern.

Maybe this other work in a LM Jaguar helps you:

Search between the modeling diary that referred to JAGUAR XJ220C.

Fantastic proyect and work up to now.
