different years (from what i heard) were made in different places, i think 88-89 was made in Japan, and 90-91 was made in canada, keep in mind all the parts originally came from japan.

melt can i ask you a question (without affending you) but why is having a jdm sohc so great? i mean you still have the (DPI) stock intake manifold on it, that to me just doesnt make sense. now i dont know the reason you did the swap, and frankly its your car, therefore its none of my business, but your not getting any more horsepower out of that engine, than any USDM d15b engine, so why the cockyness all the time about your engine being jdm? (just curious, NOT TALKING SHIT)?

Eh I was just kidding around about my car not being canadian ... but I gotta disagree with you about my car being limited so much by the dpfi, ive driven my friends stock 90 DX 4 door, and my car definitley feels a lot peppier than it does.

Its going to have a LITTLE more horsepower, since its a 1.6L and your friends DX is a 1.5L. Basically, you have a 1.6L DX.

Look at the facts... in 5th gens, the 1.5L MPFI cars make 102hp and the 1.6L make 108 horsepower.

so..

if a 4th gen DX makes 92 horsepower, you are looking at maybe 95 horsepower with your DPI injection.

bought it already swapped ... but had to take the motor out again, cause the dumbasses forgot to put in one of the mounts.
