Re: Need Help in Identification of Wild Japanese street customs.

If any one knows of the stock numbers of those wheel. Can you tell me the name and kit numbers of those wheels. That will help my search, now the flat plan dish wheels seen on the last photo of the JDM Celica with the star on the hood. Aoshima makes a wheel set just like those that I can get cheap, So that's one set down. I would realy like those of Tonioseven's rides, those wheels look grate!

I feel yah 360spider there a lot to take in all at once., but why always build the norm? Some times we all need to try something "Realy Different" How about doing a LOL (1980s IMSA Ferrari 308 GTB) version. I feel you would just love it if you would just try it. So what you think man? "360spider"

No worries, Alex is a builder I truly respect and I know he's funnin' with me. Secretly, he wants to build one! I'm taking pictures of the interior conversion I'm doing and I'll post them up eventually. I cannibalized the 1981.5 Datsun 280ZX Turbo interior to use it in the G-Nose. It's not 100% accurate but when have I ever cared about that?!

Re: Need Help in Identification of Wild Japanese street customs.

Yes yes when it comes to the interiors should I go for a half stock with roll bars of a full on race looking interior. Most of the "zokusha-cars" I have seen have both full stock with bars and with out. Now I have see some with a full on race interior. What do you all think?

Re: Need Help in Identification of Wild Japanese street customs.

I to want to have a full stock interior with roll bars and race styled seats. Oh an a not on calling the cars: "zokusha-cars" in my last post as I look a round the net, I see only one word use to describe these japanese Urban car culture or group's aka: "Gangs". As only bosozoku, so what every you call it I see there's a lot of love out there for these types of car styles. I've started on my Isuzu Impulse and I'll start a new thread soon on my work. "BUT"!!! I must build a car I have just see on this link. scroll down to see the mint colored Box shaped car with the BIG X shaped Exhaust pipes. I just have to build that thing. The fist car is just too much.
http://retroscenemag.com/default.aspx?tag=/bosozoku

On by the way I'm going to make my Exhaust pipe's shaped like a star.
I realy don't know if any of the shapes mean any thing out side japan.

I see in reading that this older version of the Original bosozoku style is still alive to day an some of the wild looking body kits we have seen on the older car has transcended into VIPstyling as the transition between what is modern VIPstyle taste during the mid to late 90's. During this time we saw insane widebodies, super streched tires, very aggressive aero parts, etc. The style is still around today. Here is an extreme VIPstyled Ride:

An some of today japanese youth still lean back to the older bosozoku style seen here:

An this style is even in the UK seen here:

Did any of you know that in japan some group was thinking of putting out a PS2 game on the bosozoku cars:

Now after seeing that the styles is still going on over there in Japan. An my idea of doing my more modern car in this "Crazy Bosozoku Style" was right on the money. So I'm going to keep looking to see if any groups or person's here in the US have built and yet.
Now if any of you know of some one that is will in to let you see there bosozoku post the images, photos, pix.

Oh I do see that on some of the older car's, they have a front mounted intercooler., but these don't pop up on all the car types.

But the up turned pipes do. No for you guys that may want just a little Bosozoku Style on your real 1:1 ride you can get some pu turned exhaust to have a verey small part of the Bosozoku style right at your home. I my self will try a longer pipe if it's not Illegal here in Louisiana. I'll call up my towns DMV to see what they say about it. pssssssssss I know some one that works there. shhhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell any one..................... LOL

So if any of you can tell me what's this Japanese style of customization called? Even if one of you knows the styles name and can only type it in japanese that's OK it will work for me. Like the word "Gaijin"
Oh I know all the types of cars they us, so that no biggy. just need a name.

Thanks if any one car help. Oh and for you guys that may just make up a name, I hope I can google it. This info will help me put a title over my build once I start.

Oh and one othere thing I wanted to ask. I hear this said a lot on the D1GP videos as a name or type of small cars that are some of the D1 cars, you know the AE86s' Ok I'm going to try and spell the word that the guy said on the DVD. Ha-chi-ro-koo I know this is not spelled right but this is what the guy in the DVD said: You see a lot of Ha-chi-ro-koos drifting this year. Can any one give me the right spelling. I have tryed to google it with no luck.

BOSOZOKU style for the win!!!

i myself is doing a mild bosozoku setup for my 1:1.

here is a forum in australia that is a gold mine of reference info and photos of the bosozoku / yankee culture in japan. (since most bosozoku sites are in japanese).

This one??

I had to look at it for a moment to convince myself it was in fact a car, and that someone had not just 'Bosozuku-ed' their floor jack!

Re: Need Help in Identification of Wild Japanese street customs.

Hay 360 your not disrespecting any one man if that style is to over the top for you man I (feel yah)-I understand. MPWR in looking at that wild ride for some time and talking to friends that have a lot of the old toyota truck an the old B2000 Mazda trucks some of my friends tell me, look closer at the slant of the front wendsheld. It's not as low as it would be for a car but it's looks more like they the builders of this ride used a trucks cab. I looks like a custom stretched truck cab with a lot of made up box shaped part around a custom stretched toyota truck., but if infact this is a car and not a totle use of a trucks cab than they did one realy wild job. Still in looking over this one image this thing looks realy easy to do, along with all the othere "Bosozoku-ed" cars, vans, small trucks,Bikes.
An I to feel that this thing realy looks more like a Bosozoku-ed a floor jack.

I found some more kits I can build on. How about the Tamiya Toyota Carina ED Autopista. Theis one was deep in my japane's stash. I think I may have more up in the atic. Any way I'm going to try an keep to the true style of the bosozuku cars of japan.

Re: Need Help in Identification of Wild Japanese street customs.

Edit on my post of that front mounted intercooler. It's not a intercooler it's an oil cooler, sorry for my slip up on that guys.
The info from my DMV is the Bosozoku styled Exhaust pipes are not illegel if they don't block the tail lights. Those wild body modes are ok to a point. The thing that stood out the most is the over use of lights like that of the Dekotora (Insane big rigs).
http://www.flickr.com/photos/fjordaan/8916482

I also see that there are more variation on the Bosozoku style - Bosozoku (Which includes the tuning of motorcycles/vespas)
Yanky Hotoboto,Vanzoku Silhouette an Dekotora (Insane big rigs)
I have photos of some of these variation, so when I get my photo album up with all the cars ad trucks I'll come back and post the images that go with the right titles.
Oh an my Isuzu Piazza XE is off to a good start so soon I'll be starting my Bosozoku style Isuzu. I also see I have a Isuzu Gemini, so you all see I have a lot to work on.
Oh any one last thing I have some photos of the S13 Bosozoku.
