Re: 95TC - In the Car valve stem seal replacement

The cost savings of New Head gaskets,Intake gasket,Exhaust gaskets,New Head bolts, and Lincoln Service.

Would it be worth the Risk?

Not to me,because of Age,mileage, and what the cars Worth.

I wouldn't want to become an expert, because there's no money to be made on old TC's.

* The Idea of using recycle 3K motor oil in between 4K mile oil/filter change was born!
This could save a lot of money plus get more mileage out of TC.

Re: 95TC - In the Car valve stem seal replacement

More helpful hints:

OTC7928303 Ford tool works Good!

6) Take apart Ford tool and using the fork end,a 10mm socket and 1/2'' extenshion, you can mussel valve spring down and put keepers in with OHC OFF.

OR

7) Use a 3/8'' serpentine belt tool Ampro T70024 with Ford tool to use a little mussel with valve spring down while putting keepers in with OHC ON.

8) Barrow a craft project glue gun from Martha Stewart and glue a Tywrap onto top of valve stem to hold valve stem up while putting in keepers.

When compete, pull wire off,and scrape gule clean.

Macgiver, if you would just be normal, we wouldn't have a problem with you. You have a tendency to go completely off topic... Even if in your mind the cost of "any" repair might be to much vs the car's value, it might be the only way for that person. Just don't set yourself up to fall and you might actually make a friend or to.

Re: 95TC - In the Car valve stem seal replacement

What's up with this non sense about theses old cars not being worth fixing. A used car is not an investment, all money put in to them should be considered gone. If it prolongs the life of the car that's the end all goal. What is a used car worth? If it's in super nice shape aka cream puff, blue book price is BS. If the car is an absolute crap box it's not worth much. You can't go off of blue book price, it's just a guide. I've got a fleet of nice older cars that I have saved from being parted out or crushed over the years. They are worth saving to me, since new ones are not getting any cheaper and have no style what so ever. They all need some form of work done to them, and yes they would fall into the category of are they worth it. Personally they are worth saving since I know I'll always have something to drive. We all know if you keep up with repairs and maintenance you can run a car for a long time and put ton a miles on them, right? You just can't consider any of your own labor costs into the mix to determine if a car is worth fixing, you're not paying your self to fix your own car. I believe we all like working on our own stuff, am I right. I agree sometimes it's not worth our own time to fix something, but to some one else it's worth it for their own reasons. They might be crazy like me but so be it, it's still a free country.

Re: 95TC - In the Car valve stem seal replacement

If you are Ambushed with bad relationships, bad X's,bad cars, bad Job's,bad products, and services you will never have enough time in your life to resolve the worlds problems, and you will lose other opportunities.

Setting everything aside, this Thread was about '' In The car Valve stem Replacement''.
The problem with Bad Valve stem seals is resolved,
I put an ACME AUTO EMISSIONS FILTER on my Town car, so it helps protect my MAF, IACT, H02 sensors, and throttle body from emission gunk.
The sensors get contaminated, and send wrong signals to the Engine control unit.
See http://www.ideabuyer.com/ipvail/acme...issions-filter

Well, like the moderator said if you don't stop, well, then they will take further measures. You already had you account banned once. And if you think that you can just get a new account, I'm pretty confident that I can find you by your obvious comments. Which means you can either stop doing them now, or when you get banned permanently, you can get a new account and be forced to stop b/c you won't want any body knowing who you really are b/c then that account will be deleted.... Either way, grow up.
