Yes. Thats due to drive train loss (DTL). Front wheel drive has the lowest DTL because it has the least amount of drive train to go thru before it gets to the ground. Rear wheel drive is second. It has to go thru the trans, the driveshaft then the rear axles to get power to the ground. All wheel drive is last.

A 300 bhp FWD car would put down approximately 246 fwhp
A 300 bhp RWD car would put down approximately 230 rwhp
A 300 bhp AWD car would put down approximately 220 awhp

Those are all generalizations to help you get the point.

Re: K&n fipk

Haha, well, I've been in and around a garage since I was 3.

When I first started driving I had a Chevy Monza 2+2 that I had to put my money and effort into to get running. My dad helped along the way but made me do most of it.

After I totalled it I got a 85 Bronco II and started subscribing to a few 4X4 magazines and read them cover to cover. Even after the Bronco was gone I still subscribed to those magazines.

Sometime later I got an 86 Mustang and subscribed to a few Mustang magazines. I subscribed to them for even several years after I sold it.

I am constantly online, here and 3si. If someone has a question I don't know the answer to I search for it. In my searches I usually learn something completely different along the way.

Basically it all comes down to experience and the will to learn.

When it comes to the different car "genres" all vehicles are inherintely the same. When you learn something about one car there is a good chance it will apply to all cars.

Ah, sorry, I was reading so quickly that I missed that it's a controller as well. Running that much boost through such small turbos I would say that you might net 5HP per PSI max so you might get around 25HP. That would be my guess anyhow.
