I hate to dissapoint, but i'm not really and expert on what to look for on a used race car. The best I can say is that it had no visible damage, and considering how friendly and knowledgable the mechanic was, I would say they take very good care of their cars.

I hope thats helpfull in some way.

I took a liking to the Panoz's immediatly though, it would be a very nice car to take to the track on an open weekend.

Thanks for the update.

I settled in on a car.

The wife is letting me pick it up on my Birthday....28 Feb. I get visitation of it 2x a month.

Anyone know how to time warp to 28 Feb?

Are you getting the GTRA that he converted to carb? I think he had that and a WC car that requires some work.

Good for you, Mr Fang. A friend visited Gary and saw that car and said it was going to be nice when he got it finished. You made a wise investment. I've owned many cars and this is the best money I've spent, period. I've had more fun with this car than any I've owned. You'll become a better driver and have a blast doing it. What part of the country are you in?

But all I can say is when it fired up it sounded NICE.
