Re: Ferrari Daytona Comp. #39 LM '73

Engine completed and body is on the chassis. I used mainly "low tech" detailing supplies, kitbashed parts, electric wire etc. Window washer fluid bag is epoxy glue painted from the back side. Brake fluid reservoirs are carved from clear sprue. Then i drilled the reservoirs hollow and filled them with "brake fluid".

Nice work. I love your engine detail!! I just finished my FERAUD Daytona last week, but its a curbside. Maybe some day I will post some pictures.

Re: Ferrari Daytona Comp. #39 LM '73

Thanks guys!

A little update also... Underside of the car is done. Added scratchbuilt ehaust pipes and a rear spoiler that was used in this and couple of other Daytonas on '73 Le Mans (#37, #40 not sure about others).

You've done a very nice build of a car not seen too often, great job.

Re: Ferrari Daytona Comp. #39 LM '73

Added some details. Modelers wiper, Sakatsu number lights, some PE details from parts box, some coloured masking tape...

I hate these resin tires. I know they can be painted to look good, but rubber tires are just so much easier.

Re: Ferrari Daytona Comp. #39 LM '73

Finally finished this one.

-> Tommy,
The Thomson decal on the bonnet is one of yours, so they can still be usable. I used SD decal instead of S27 because for some unknown reason S27 decal has Thomson printed on the red background. All the rest Thomson logos were without the red.

Finished pics here.
