Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Well I got the x-rays. Nothing broken, but just severely bruised and maybe some torn muscle.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

i also opened this thread thinking of some stupid/funny video like cat vs. ford ka, or something like that. This sucks, though. Atleast you're good, not dead. A very close friend of mine just got her car totaled by some idiot lady speeding straight through an intersection showing her left blinker and not turning. She did have the right of way... but she showed she was turning, and didn't, so my friend Kat just lost a barely 1 year old Ford Edge.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Ah. Sorry to hear that. My friend I work with is 24, and he's got a 2-year old kid, and his 'baby momma' has custody of it. So she was dumb enough to let her husband drive drunk, and yeaahhh. Ran a red light, truck slammed into the car, crushed it. Had to use jaws of life to get the kid out. They said his whole right side was crushed. 10 percent change of survival. They had to fly him to Austin, TX (about an hour away from us) because the nation's best infant surgical team is there. And yeah, I feel for him because he already lost his other son at birth. He said, "I'm nothing if I lose my other child" and he broke down crying. I felt really bad for him. Give your friend who was involved in the accident my regards. Amazing how dumb some people can be.

It's sometimes hard, dealing with accidents with kids. It really sucks because they have no choice. Tools on the rescue truck are fun. We actually had one kid who was thankfully okay in a really bad wreck be amused by the tool while we cut his mother out.

Ah. Yeah. When I got my X-Ray done, the machine fascinated me. I want to go to College for Mechanical Engineering and I was in awe. I was like "How the hell does this work?" So I went home and read all about them. Pretty crazy how advanced technology is.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Well I FINALLY got ahold of USAA. So they too my statement and they're getting someone out where within the next 4 days to assess the damage. And they said I might get more money being that I had to go to get an X-Ray. And I might get the whole 'Lost Wages' thing since I couldn't work. So finally everything is going to get settled. In other news, I bought a new phone. Tell me what you think. Just google Sony Ericsson K800i.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

I'm glad your alright. I just had arthescopic knee surgery. Took me about 4 days to really be able to get mobile. Now two weeks later no cane, and pretty mobile but still staying off my feet.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Sounds painful. How old are you? And congrats on the successful surgery. That's always good.

I'm 23. I am paying for all the stupid things I did in my teenage years.

Re: Ninja Vs. Hyundai

Well. Insurance said if I keep the bike, I get $800.
If they take it, I get $1,900.
So I took the 1900 because I'm going to college once I'm done my Senior year. So yeah, only like 6 months left!

As this boy is the same age as mine, I have to ask......... what happened to him since the accident? Did the boy make it? And did the drunken idiot get the jail time he deserves?
