Re: any axles from other years/cars that will fit?

Well that was the first I got to read it. Finally got another job 8-5 m-f, warehousing a bunch of records.

The only difference I really saw on the axles were that some of them were thicker, or the bearings are different sizes. Which if your looking for a replacement, neither of those really make a difference. I believe the 4g DX/STD axles were smaller than the others. I know when I was trying to make an axle for my crx, I couldn't use the DX/STD axles because of the bearing sizes, since I was having to make my own axles for it(Stock 1g outer/shaft with z6 inners). Still couldn't keep the right one from seperating though, oh well, gave up on it.

No, not really eg.ob. Christ knows what all I have done, and most likely knows I try just about anything out, especially on my dirt track cars

But, yes, your post count does reflect this, you haven't been here long, none of us know you and what you have done or are capable of. Post-whoring to get your post count up still proves nothing....other than your like a lot of members here and like to post whore

Re: any axles from other years/cars that will fit?

eg.ob... if you would have read it, I said "with some experience on the forum"

That doesn't relate to life experience, auto experience, etc...

It wasn't meant to be an insult, please don't take it as one... and just so you know, calling regs "post-whores" (especially "Tony the Mod") isn't the best way to get recognized around here... try adding genuine valid input, and being appropriate.

Don 't get discouraged that noone will take your word for it the first couple times.... it happens to all the new guys.

Yeah eg.ob that was a real dumb move. Don't let yourself get sucked into post-whoring. As far as I know eg.ob is right. All fourth and fifth gen axles are inter-changeable. I've heard even third gens will work, but I'm not sure if its true or not.

I have already answered this :P

6th Gen axles will work. For the most part, just remember to stick with the same series engine and you will be fine. There are a few exceptions on the engines, but not many.

Re: any axles from other years/cars that will fit?

Rofl... go figure.. he even makes it COMPLETELY OT! lol (I guess it's not completely OT... since axles are connected to hubs, which are considered part of the suspension in the front... ) *just gave Tony an excuse for thread jacking and going OT*

So what was the idea?.... I ended up swapping parts of a '88 CR-X rear suspension to my '85... never fully finished that one tho... helped someone else that finished theirs... then sold the car before I could get pics to write up the FAQ/Walkthrough on it.
