Re: GDB late model Spec C RA
The lip will be black.
As for the seats/door panels, turns out they are all black after checking it via google. The photos at the sides of the fujimi box showed an interior with blue seats and door panels, and I copied straight out of that. In certain lighting the seats also look blue! http://www.j-garage.com/pic/5/2005/6.html Perhaps I will dismember the interior pieces and repaint them after I finish polishing the body. |

AAAhh even more inaccuracies!! I don't think my LHS has any blue flocking available so my floormats might have to stay it's current color. However I will work into the interior. Just minutes after posting my last post I devoured part of the white paint with the compound while polishing (rear overfender right at the edge). If I am lucky to finish polishing the shell tonight I will have to repaint the paint damages tomorrow. |

Re: GDB late model Spec C RA
![]() ![]() It was impossible to see until all the white compound material has been rubbed off... I hope the grey parts could just go away with a small coat of white + clear instead of having to cover with white primer again. |

Re: GDB late model Spec C RA
Does the roof vent pop up on this kit?

Re: GDB late model Spec C RA
The pop up roof vent is included in the kit, but it has to be fixed at the close position otherwise you will see two rods underneath it poking into the roof. There are no vents built into the kit.
The damaged paint spots are repaired, entire car polished, and window trims painted. Interior is corrected to all black. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When you build the RA, remember to disregard the reference photos given on the fujimi box art. I shouldn't have done any painting on the interior pieces to make an accurate model. Next up will be painting the black on front lip and roof spoiler. Anyone know whether the tail light backs on the RA are black or a shade of dark grey? Google gave me some pictures with both colors. |

Re: GDB late model Spec C RA
"STI" exhaust exclusively equipped on the RA. This muffler was made with 4 different sizes of aluminum tubing. The end section of pipe is aluminum rod. Bending it to mimic the stock pipe route was the hard part.
![]() ![]() The turn signal bulbs given in the kit doesn't fit the headlights. So I made my own with clear sprue heat-pulled, then machined to right size. ![]() ![]() ![]() What's left right now are the license plates, waiting to be polished after the clear dries. Tried a new way to replicate the windshield washer nozzles. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
