Re: Mclaren - The Cars 1964-2008

You know, they really should run these things by us before printing. It took me all of two minutes to notice an inaccuracy in the text.

"At the car's launch party in Monaco in May 1993..."

Hopefully this isn't a sign of the overall quality of the text.

Thanks for the pics Greg.

I have also noticed some inaccurate text and some B.S. and thats without looking hard. Very poor if you ask me. Just don,t let Ron read it, as he will pull it. I also think the pic content could have been better, much better!! This is supposed to be a celebration of all their hard work Rating 3/10

Thanks for posting up the F1 content, Greg.

Re: Mclaren - The Cars 1964-2008

Well it was suprisingly nice to see the mention of the two black LMs, so they get a few points there.

However, I take issue with the "Examples Built" on both the F1 road car and F1 LM. Those figures should be 69 and 6, not 64 and 5. Once again, they count the GT prototype and ignore the others.

What makes it even sillier in my mind is that in this case the cars they photograhed and represented with the text are those prototypes!

Re: Mclaren - The Cars 1964-2008

Anyone know the actual differences between the two additions of the book?

Nevermind - found it: "This Limited Edition is signed and numbered by the author and comes in a special slipcase."

Got my copy yesterday - here you can see the slipcase and the signature...
