Thanks guys

It's really too much credit for a model, far from perfect, but nevertheless it keeps the motivation up

Excellent build Sennake. Just the other day I was wondering how you and this model were going. Looks like you're both going great!

Did you know that this car is the most sucessful single chasis in the history of Formula One? Tyrrell 003 won a total of 8 GPs in its active life, more that any other car.

Did you use pins or metal rods to hold the mirrors and are those springs holding the exhaust? Nice detail. Like the wood effect on the gear shifter and bodywork stand too, scratchbuilt?

If I can respectfully make one suggestion, it would be to trim the clear carrier film on the decals right back to the design before applying. Would assist greatly in the close-up realism. Just call me the decal Nazi!

Well worth the wait

Looking forward to seeing some progress on the Bentley. What kit and scale is it?

Stunning model, and by the way I agree with you, I cannot build the rest of the model until the paint job is finished and looking good(it's all down hill after that.)

The mirrors are held with pins because the chromed plastic parts were way too thick.

The springs holding the exhaust are scratch-build from metal wire.

The wood effect was achieved by painting the gear shifter in flat earth color first, then after drying I applied a second coat of Tamiya "smoke" X-19.

The bodywork stand came with the kit.

And I agree with your decal suggestion : I did it by the way with the race number decals, then I got bored with it

The Bentley is 1/43 Provence Moulage kit. Shouldn't take as long as the Tyrrell

Finishing my Fujimi SLK-230 (pics next wednesday or thursday) and working on my Tamiya D2 C-Class and watching DTM, WRC Germany and flying my new Kite and going to my mom's birthday BBC.

Besides, I spent nearly all my go-to-race-event-and-take-loads-of-pictures budget on/in Goodwood this year. Last time I was there must be back in '96.

If you invite me next year, I'll join you

j/k
