Besides the fact thats its an auto i beileve the GLE is the best of the maximas, just as it was the Altimas many years back... it takes the best of both worlds; It has nearly every performance thing the SE has minus the transmission and a little tuning in the suspension, and is completely loaded. I just love that black, soft leather, heated everything, navigational system, 6 disc cd changer - I wouldnt give it up for anything

it depends on what you want your maxima for. if you're an old man who wants to chill out and just drive then yeah get a gle. if you wanna drop big stinky loads all over the honda's and acura's out there get yourself a sportier SE 6 speed (or 5 speed). and i'd never get a gxe just cuz it's too basic. why get an 03 gxe when you can get an '02 SE or gle for the same price

Ya don't have to be an old man to enjoy a GLE.... I just turned 21 and when I bought mine last year, I chose it because has sweet features (Ladies Love Leather), rides smooth, the auto tranny means I can eat, drink and relax without worrying about shifting while at the same time being able to go fast. Clearly, if you want to race, get the SE. If your primary goal isn't racing though, GLE all the way....

Why so obsessed with destroying acuras and hondas? i personally think its pretty pathetic that beating them is ur goal in life - it just makes the arrogant owners (the very few there actually are) more arrogant... they dont need an ego boost, and u also need to realize that many hondas and acuras would destroy the maxima.

what do you know of my obsessions NEWbert? i was just saying them cuz i think they're nissans biggest rivals. i;m not obsessed with beating honda's and acura's, i'm obsessed with beating what ever car wants to race (that's why i mod my car) and yes some people buy cars cuz they're faster than other cars that's why i chose a maxima over a prelude. when i test drove the lude i said wow, not bad. then i drove the maxima and said wow, this'll shit all over the prelude, i'll get that. It's not an obsession just a preference

NEWbert, oh god, this is starting to remind me of all those other ridiculous forums when flaming and post count somehow have an affect on ur knowledge of particular cars, and just cars in general.

no, posts like THAT dont make 62 page off topic threads. hes right in sayin what he did about honduhs and inaccura's, they are out biggest rivals. if u dont like something that someone says, then jus move on and dont say anything instead of being dumbass and pissin ppl off

respec is earned on this forum, not given. you can't expect to flame a member and be accepted for it, it doesn't work that way

Wow u people sure are hostile... I was simply making an observation and all of a sudden im flaming and pissing people off? I came here to learn a few things about the car I own and meet new people interested in the same topic but obviously i came to the wrong place... I was more at home at superhonda.com ... how's that for competition?

I also dont believe honda and acura cars are big competition for the maxima... ur comparing the 127/160 hp civic, and 140/170/190 hp integra to a car with 190-255 hp... it hardly seems fair... Now if u were to compare a well modified civic or integra to a maxima, thats another thing, but in that case, isn't any car able to beat the maxima? So why single out hondas and acuras? Im not trying to flame, im simply making a point... Beating a honda or acura is no big deal, if its near stock, so don't feel too excited, but also, don't point out every honda or acura as a ricer, thats not right either, there are real enthusaists out there.
