Hello,

I'm not sure I understood very weel what you were saying above but I'm not sure too that you did understand yourself what I was pointing out or maybe you don't know 205 T16 evolutions, because what I was showing is a Evo1 engine and more than that IS the one of the Monte Carlo version you're building !

the additionnals air intakes tubes visible in the picture aren't included in the tamiya kit that's probably why you think you're closer to the real one with your build than the picture by refering to the tamiya building instructions... But by refering to the tamiya building instructions yes ok but not to the pic you showed !!

Your tamiya building instructions references are BTW the best way to see that your reference picture is wrong !
This is a rebuilt (badly rebuilt should I even say...) because it shows an Evo2 engine on a Evo1 chassis !! (moreover with some wrong parts like the red valve cover for example...)
look at the air admission system, you have a 4 in 1 tube in the evo1 version, your picture shows the single tube from the evo2 whereas you still have the top "arch frame" between the two suspensions tops like it is in the evo1 !!

In fact you have to build the engine like it is in the tamiya building instructions, which only lack the additional air intakes tubes, but believe me forget your personal pictures as the one above because this has nothing to deal with any real 205 T16 official race car !!!

For the moment you only painted red the glodisg aluminium valve cover, but I was afraid you would start rerproducing the engine of your picture, which is completely false, if you now follow tamiya building instructions you'll be right don't worry.
And as I see you've just opened the front hood, also take care because you listed 3 photos but the third one is from the evo2, which has some differences too concerning the front hood.
(stripes part between lights opens with the hood on the evo2 but not on the evo1)
so for the moment you're right with your cut.

Don't misunderstand my thoughts or willing, I'm not trying to show you're badly building your model, I'm just trying to bring you the best references as I saw you had a wrong car reference that could lead you in the wrong direction.
You're doing a great job on this model, but I think you expect to build it as accurate as possible (even with this strange wheels choice...?! ) that's why I gave you the 85 MC engine reference knowing yours was wrong.
You can trust me when I bring some Peugeot references (because I've been collected some for years as it is my favorite brand) especially about 205 T16 as I have many ambitious projects (for example a fully opened Evo2 as the one of your third picture just above).
But you are the only one to decide how you'll build this model !

And I will folow the build anyway !

If you expect me to give you more references just fell free to ask, but if you don't matter and care about accuracy and just want to build it like you want just say it too and i'll shup up, promised !
