That is also a reason why cooling is such an important part of maintaining an RX-7 that will not blow up on you.

Why does a rotary engine tend to burn oil! And if it does burn oil, that doesnt mean the oil that is in it is bad, all that means is that you will have to keep adding oil to it! And if it burns oil then you probably need to check your piston rings, maybe those are going out!

rotary engines dont have pistons. They are a completly different engine design. Check out www.howstuffworks.com for more info.
