Also of note Ferrari undercoats their Rosso Corsa painted cars with a pale yellow primer. it is the secret to why teh red glows the way it does!

I have this kit too. I was searching for pics and found this yellow too. looks better than red and I would go for this collor too. I ve read somwhere that it was a test car and it must have 4 point seatbelts and so on like somebody alredy wrote here. good luck with build

To my knowledge, there was a silver 288 GTO in 1984, owned by a Mexican called Sam Bardor who participated in private races.

I've seen a picture of it but I can't seem to find it back on the net.

Bardor collected only silver Ferrari's.
He owned at least a Daytona coupe, 512BB, 328 GTB - all in silver.
The GTO is definately a re-painted car but none the less...

Since you have brought up this subject again, I wonder if those built up by BBR really exists: 288GTO convertible?
